Why It Matters

Because Nourishment Is More Than Food

Military spouses often carry the weight of military life quietly. Frequent moves, rebuilding support systems, and managing households through constant change can leave little space to care for themselves.

We believe nourishment happens in three ways:
• Physical nourishment through healthy, prepared meals
• Emotional nourishment through connection and conversation
• Spiritual nourishment through encouragement and shared support

Our events are designed to support the whole person, not just the dinner table.

What To Expect

Everything is designed to make your week feel lighter. You’ll prep nourishing meals, connect with other military spouses, and leave supported, without the stress of planning, shopping, or cooking alone.

✔ Prep 3–4 meals that feed 4–6 people

✔ Simple recipes for slow cooker or pressure cooker

✔ Two-hour community-centered events

✔ Supportive, welcoming environment

Meet The Founder

The Nourished Homefront was founded by McKenzie Kline, a physician assistant and Army spouse of nearly ten years, who understands firsthand the unique weight and isolation that can come with military life. With a deep commitment to health and community, McKenzie saw a gap in support for military spouses—especially when it comes to nourishing both the body and the heart while holding down the homefront.

Rooted in the belief that nourishment is physical, emotional, and spiritual, The Nourished Homefront brings military spouses together through shared meal prep events. These gatherings are designed to simplify healthy eating, ease the mental load of meal planning, and create meaningful space for connection and encouragement. Through community, conversation, and preparing meals side by side, The Nourished Homefront exists to remind military spouses that they are seen, supported, and never alone in the journey.
